Divya came to Mumbai to pursue her dream of becoming an actor. She started out as a young starlet in the music video opposite to Salman Khan because she wanted to become an actor.
So during the shooting of “Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo”, she met Bhushan Kumar, the owner of T-series and son of Late. Gulshan Kumar.

When Divya and Bhushan decided to get married, Divya was 21 years old. By the blessing of family, they married each other. They married in Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu.
This was a very simple function with only some family members. Later a grand reception hosted in Mumbai. They went on their honeymoon to Las Vegas and a 3-month long cruise vacation.
